Synopsis:

The story is adapted from a legendary novel of the Tang dynasty. During the reign of Zhenyuan, 23 lang caughts two fish demons but let it escape accidentally. Several years later, Xie Xiao’e, 14 years old, sailed with her family and relatives. On the way they met the fish monster into the fantasy bandits, all were killed but Xiao’e, she was the only one who escaped from the river with serious injuries. Xiao’e was coma and drifting for several days, a fisherman rescued her and sent her to the Taoist temple. When Xiao’e was coma, she dreamed of her father and husband, who told her a 12-word puzzle about the killer. She swore revenge. She learned to spell from the old priest during her healing at the Taoist temple. After coming down the mountain, she experienced all kinds of difficulties before finding the answer to the 12-word puzzle. She finally met 23 lang, solve the puzzle and successfully revenged.
